The abortion debate has three sides: the ethical/philosophical (some would say religious, but I dislike this term as it implies a foregone conclusion i.e. my god told me so and that is it), the medical, and the practical. The latter is the one that will be examined in this article.

Atheism theorizes that there is no God, that he, she, it, etc. doesn’t exist. Whether or not you believe in a God; there is one thing you should always believe in… Belief in yourself and others can help a person achieve great things. Hopefully some of you can relate.

There are a number of things that are considered taboo by many religions, and they’re things that are argued about quite a bit in the political sphere of the world. Abortion, homosexuality, stem cell research, etc.

I’m going to address the “issue” of homosexuality here.

People claim that homosexuality is bad, that it’s wrong.

Looking at it from an evolutionary standpoint, we’re not the only ones. There are countless species on Earth that have homosexuality present in them. We are just one. This is not something unique to humans. It’s far more prevalent than that.
